So what does a bonafide genius do in an era of stone knives and bear skins?

Book I-The Stargazer and the Toolmaker- At the dawn of the bronze age,
somewhere in central Europe, Rodne the Stargazer thinks of himself as content
with his life as a hermit, studying the stars in happy solitude and making
occasional 'consultations' for residents of the nearby village of Lakeside in
exchange for food and other needs. The arrival of a lost, half blind toolmaker
named R'dek on his doorstep changes all of that, however, and Rodne finds
himself taking unthinkable risks, as he discovers the previously unimagined
possibilities of friendship -and more.

Book II -The Warrior of Honor- When an accident to R'dek brings both hermits to
Lakeside for a prolonged stay, they are drawn in to the greatest crisis ever to
face Lakeside. Raiders are coming and they cannot be stopped, so naturally
Rodne and R'dek must help Lakeside defend itself. Winning the battle takes a
toll, on the people of Lakeside, such as Caresn the village shaman, and Loren,
the master hunter, as well as on our heroes, but the greatest challenge
remains for the defeated leader of the Raiders, now a prisoner of Lakeside
and its headwoman, Li'bet.
